Our Story

The start of Clover Valley Farm Inc.

In 1955, Fred’s dad, Fritz Wainwright Jr. and his wife Jean started their own farm in Florence, NJ and raised their family of 6 children on the farm. In 1974, they made it official and incorporated the farm, Clover Valley Farm Inc. The name coming to them from a local map of the area that had their section of town called “clover valley”. That map sure wasn’t wrong. There were fields of green clover surrounding the farm everywhere.

Clover Valley Farm, Inc. originally started as a dairy farm that milked 100% registered Holsteins.

In 1987, Fred took over the dairy business and bought the dairy cows and operation from his parents and brothers.

In the late 2000’s, Fred sold the dairy cows.

Clover Valley Farm Today

2012 was a BIG year. We, Fred and Danielle were married and we started our beef herd. It had been many years without any cows around. We were missing cows. There is a saying, “once a farmer always a farmer”. That was ringing very true here.

We needed to find a farm of our own to be able to keep up with all of our dreams. After 2 years of searching for the right farm, we found a farm not to far from the Fred’s family farm. It’s name was “Clover Run Farm”. This was surly the place we were meant to continue “Clover Valley Farm Inc.” And it was!! In 2014, we moved to our forever home farm in Southampton, NJ. Here we were able to grow our cow-calf herd, add laying hens, broilers and welcome our 2 little farm boys.

After doing lots of research on a particular breed, we decided to add American Wagyu, a breed of cattle that is known for their intense marbling, to our herd in 2018.

In 2022 we expanded our farm adding 200 acres to our home farm to accommodate our growing herd of cattle and their hay needs.

In addition to raising beef cattle, we also provide custom nutrition work and feed.

One thing that hasn't changed: Our passion about the health and well-being of all livestock and being able to provide superior products. ♡
